Easter Breakfast
Easter Basket Hunt 2013
Every year the Easter Bunny hides our easter baskets & we have to find them. Abby found hers 1st. It was hiding in her bed somewhere (I didn’t get to see it). I found my 2nd. It has been the first time in a really long time I didn’t find mine last. Devin found his last, it was where we keep the recycling because he got shoes and it looked like it was a box we were throwing away.
I got some cool stuff. I got Hesher (bluray), The Power Rangers Movie, The Independent Filmmaker’s Guide, a flashlight (Abby took and broke mine), Reese Eggs, & some Twix.
Some pictures from today. For the last few snowfalls I’ve been wanting to go sledding & since my brother and sister had no school and I didn’t want to stay cooped up in the house all day I asked them if they wanted to go out.
The hill kind of sucked because it wasn’t steep enough. But we went to the park that was close by. We had a snowball fight and swung on swings. The 3rd picture is of a traverser thing. I swung across it and let go to slide across the platform and almost broke my back. My legs went further than my body, so all my weight just went back. I laughed it off, and so did my siblings. Afterwards we picked up some Taco Bell which was very yummy. Then we came home and ate & I started working on an igloo. I didn’t finish because I was too cold and tired, but all I have to do is dig it out.
Today was good.
Incase you Chicagoans didn’t know. Wicked is coming back from 10/30-12/21!
I promised myself that I’d bring my mom and sister the next time it came back, so I’m super excited. I also decided that I want to bring my dad and brother. They don’t seem like theater people, but I didn’t think I’d like it either. I also think it would be a good family experience, I can’t remember the last time we all spent time together.
The Dark Knight Rises | Just watched this with my parents. It was awesome to be in the room with them while they watched it. The fact that my dad stayed up for the entire thing is a miracle. When my brother asked how he was able to my dad responded with “because it’s cool.” My mom literally gasped when Miranda (Talia) stabbed Batman. I laughed so hard.
Jurassic Park | I’ve been watching this throughout the week with Abby. We finally finished it today.
Went to Hamada of Japan tonight for a birthday dinner with my family. I had a taste for sushi so I decided to go with a Philadelphia roll & some noodles as my side. You can see how delicious it looks in the picture.
Dream
So I had a dream last night or this morning & I’m not sure the significance of it. Here’s what happened…
I was in the passenger seat of a car being dropped off at home by someone, I don’t remember their face. When I got to my house the door was wide open & the garage door was open with nothing in it. My family had left me. Then I heard someone behind me say “Matty!” When I turned around it was my cousin Louise hanging out the window calling me. When I asked her what she was doing she said “Your parents bought this house.” So when I walked into the house I couldn’t believe my parents bought the house across the street, but it was really nice. I asked what room was mine & Devin said “My room’s in the basement.” So I went to the basement to see if he got the best room & I didn’t really like it. Then I started going upstairs & noticed the person that dropped me off was following me to see what room I’d pick. So we went upstairs & looked at the room & they were awesome. I wasn’t sure why Devin chose the basement because the room upstairs were gigantic. 2 of the rooms were already decorated with Batman stuff too. When I asked where it all came from my mom said that the people that lived there were roommates & the one who owned the Batman stuff was out of town so he’d be back to get it all. So I was disappointed, but I thought I’d ask him to have something. When I went to the next one I made my decision to pick it. It was a little bigger than the bigger room I saw, but this one didn’t have the master bathroom, so I knew my parent’s wouldn’t want it. Then I started planning out where my bed, desk, tv, & other stuff would go.
And that was the end. The house was really cool. It wasn’t the house that’s actually across he street. The house had huge columns in front of it & a wrap around driveway. It was really cool. I guess you would say it’s my dream house.
Titanic 3D | Went & saw this with my mom, Abby, & Jessa for the first time. It was actually the first 3D movie I’ve seen in theaters too. The 3D was pretty awesome, but only at certain points. I surprisingly didn’t say any of the lines along with the movie too.
Also Abby farted out loud on accident in the middle of a quiet scene.

365 Challenge | Day 364 | Today was pretty good. I woke up at 7:45 today because I had to get the house ready for the plumber coming over to work on the bathroom. Then I woke up Abby & got her ready for school & put her on the bus. Then I helped out the plumber with a few things. While he worked I edited some more of Not Alone. While editing I realized I was putting in the wrong audio so I had to go back to all the scenes I finished to replace & sync the new audio. It took a long time, but it sounds fantastic. At 1 I took a break & made some lunch & watched Jersey shore, I was really tired & almost fell asleep at the end of the episode, so I took a half hour nap. When I woke up I started editing more. Then I packed my bag for the weekend because I’m gonna be filming all weekend. So before I left I talked to my dad about stuff the plumber said, then I drove to Adan & Sam’s. We just hung out all night, listening to music, watching movie trailers, etc. Then I met up with Jessa at Huck Finn’s & had a snack. After that we went to Walgreens to pick up some ear medicine because she can’t hear out of one of her ears. Now we’re at her house getting ready to lay down & relax.
365 Day Challenge | Day 363 | Bob & Me, today was the last day that I would be at Uncle Ed’s while Kevin was house sitting, so this could be the last time I saw Bob. | Today was productive. I woke up at 8 & got Abby on the bus for school. Then I started editing Not Alone. Then at 1 I made lunch, tunafish sandwich, I hadn’t had it in a long time & it was pretty good, I just wish there was more. I watched an episode of Jersey Shore while I ate, then after that I edited more. Then my dad asked me to help him prepare some stuff for the plumbers that are coming here tomorrow. Then I was getting ready to leave for Uncle Ed’s but my mom took the car to get Market Day, so I watched Titanic until they got home. Then I went to Uncle Ed’s for guys night. It was a pod time, we watched 2 episodes of Modern Family, Rich showed me how to use iMovie for something, & we got some stuff ready for our shoot this weekend. Now I’m at home about to have a snack & watch the new Jersey Shore.
